We had a lovely weekend at Spring Valley in East Yorkshire but I think it was possibly the coldest whit weekend we've camped although it seems we were lucky as only one five minute rain shower once there
------------- May/June - Spring Valley
Aug/Sept - Leekworth
We were in Suffolk and we had sea mist on Friday and hot, wall to wall sunshine the rest of the week-end. We were sited by a hedge and we were too hot, taking the dog for a walk behind the hedge in the dog field there was a lovely breeze. We are a relatively small island but our weather can be so different in such small distances.
------------- Started with a motorbike and tent.......my gallery, my life.
I spent my Bank Holiday weekend camping/walking in Rutland. It was a lovely campsite but the facilities struggled to cope with the demand. However, after a hot, sticky, pre-thunderstorm walk, a cold shower was actually quite refreshing
Drove 1 hour 45 minutes to site on Friday afternoon.
Put tent up.
Realised ZIG still in cupboard under the stairs.
Set up stove for wife & kid's tea.
Drove 1 hr 40 mins home.
Picked up ZIG.
Drove 2 hours 30 minutes back to Campsite, arriving at 9:45 pm. On the way Burger King gave me diet instead of normal and I didn't realise until I was back on the motorway.
Other than that, it was a lovely weekend in North Wales. True, there were bits of truly horrendous rain, but the tent did its job.
I honestly think I heard and saw more thunder and lightening on Sunday than I've seen in the rest o my life put together - at one point there was continuous thunder for over three minutes!
At one point we could see forest fires off on the horizon in one direction and forest fires not so far away behind us - luckily they all got put out.
We were staying at the Big Sands campsite and it and the beach were amazing - can thoroughly recommend it though I suspect in wetter, duller weather it could be super midgey.
We had a fab weekend in Pembrokeshire with the family, they went back after the BH and it was so good we only came home monday as Tuesday is a grandparents school run day! We seemed to be lucky missing the storms, we had 2 nights with thunderstorms but temperatures in mid 20's in the day.

We went this last weekend and it was fabulous :) Although I wouldn't go to that campsite again, far too noisy for us
Where we were was really quiet - it's such a big campsite I guess it depends where you pitch. We were in the dunes and I think they helped absorb the sound from other campers.
