Toast mine on the cadac
Oooh how do you do that?
We have a Cadac safari, using the deflector plate and the wire grid on the fat pan, have the gas on a medium/high, and just keep a close eye on the bread, move it around, because there will be hot spots over the deflector vents. Let me know how you get on!
Been using similar for many a year now. Don't usually eat toast at home so it is a delicious camping treat for me. Lovely to sit on a morning eating toast and jam and having a lovely fresh brew coffee. Can't wait for our camping holiday now!!
We're the opposite; eat loads of toast at home but never bother with it when camping.
We did once havie a camping toaster, many moons ago, which used to lightly toast teeny slices of bread in about half an hour.
Best ever was our old Grillmaster Deluxe stove, which had a fab grill, the likes of which don't exist on current stoves. No idea why they stopped making them.
Takes up virtually no room and makes crisp, delightfully polka dotted toast in about 90 seconds on a gas stove.
Crumpets, pitta breads, naan bread etc all work well too, just have to keep checking and turning.
