SInce the quick release valve is an authentic Cadac part, intended for use on their units, it shouldn't have failed after being put on and off just once. And, it does look as if the leak must have been from the valve and not the result of an Insufficiently tightened jubilee clip, as the hose end etc is still intact and not discoloured or melted.
Have you referred this back to the retailer where you purchased the valve? They're possibly more likely to get some response from Cadac?
