Hello all
We're off camping a week on Monday and I'm starting to get worried about pitching our tent.
Everyone seems to be getting new fandangled, up in 2 minutes, air tents! We have a Cabanon Athena frame tent and i fear we will look like right plonkers in among all the new swanky airbeams. We'll be huffing and puffing, dragging those heavy stell poles around while everyone else is up in half the time and enjoying a brew (or wine/beer).
Am I worrying over nothing.
They will certainly not enjoy their holiday anymore than you will enjoy yours no matter how much money they have spent on their tents and equipment.
Similar to Franbee, when we had a family sized frame tent, we laid out all the poles then sprayed both sides of joints with car paint in different colours...this for years made it a doddle may hung the poles by colour. Happy camping in your stylish Cabanon
The test of a tent is when the wind gets up and the rain falls down. Will all these inflatable tents blow away, will the oversized tunnel tent blow down? You heavy steel poled frame tent will just sit there whatever the weather, you'll wake up after a good nights sleep to a campsite filled with broken tents and evacuated pitches.
