I am just ordering a tent and have some lovely lights I'd like to attach to entrance to tent ( bell tent ) they are electric and I think probably indoor lights. My first thought was to clip them around door A frame and light up outside of tent with the plug inside, now I'm not so sure with rain etc, do I clip on inside of A frame or will they not have same effect as showing from outside thanks

Most 'Christmas' style lights which I assume you are referring to are outdoor rated. Should say on the label.

If your lights are mains powered I'd stick to outdoor rated lights though most plug in lights these days use a transformer so the voltage is somewhat safer provided the manufacturer didn't take shortcuts and the Live / neutral aren't reversed when you connect up.

Are the ‘Christmas lights’ Christmas tree lights / fairy lights? If so they won’t be suitable for outdoors or wet conditions.

I've just got them down from loft they were originally bought to go round my daughters room, I've read label, it says for indoor and outdoor use, so think should be fine on outside with plug inside tent. They are ball type lights, pain to keep untangled. I've just wrapped them round a loo roll lol

Eve what at good idea! Taking lights and spare toilet roll too. (I don't think this is what you meant but we do try and pack light and take less stuff).
