Lol. It's mental wi little uns. But they love it. Tiring & stressy at times, but they grow into proper outdoor kids. As long as they eat & sleep well & are warm enough. Basics really

Get them involved. Our boy has been camping since he was about 1 1/2. He’s 11 now. He loves it but he knows he has jobs when camping.
Filling water bottles
Collecting fire wood (Chechen he’s not stealing from a wood pile)
Helping (watching me) wash up
Helping pitch and pull down tent.
Depends how old, I take my 8 year old (mum stays at home) - once he finds other kids to play with he is off - so bit stressful for a while as you accept he needs a bit of freedom and responsibility (does not stop me taking a peak now and again). Find most parents look out for each other’s children.

Gaffa tape comes in useful and a bottle,or two, of wine when they do finally go to sleep. I bought a 2 berth caravan to ensure we had no room for any of our 6 delightful grandchildren. Just my wife and I and our beloved dog. Iknow, I'm a miserable old grouch
