I bought on last Friday after work. Just before going to bed I put 2 x 500ml water bottles in and a large bottle of coke - all at room temperature.
In the morning they were lovely and cold - ideal temperature.
Can definitely recommend from the cooling point of view.
Have had one before and the weak point was the handle to body connection. If you can handle with care, they are brilliant.

We bought one a few years ago and it showed on the instructions that it was made by Dometic. It still works perfectly and I agree what romer said about the weak point being the handle.
You have to make sure its locked in place before lifting.

You may be able to get them online, and I think it’s free delivery over £20.

Bought one a few years back, to be fair they are what they are for the price, and there is not really any point paying silly money for a branded version as the Aldi unit works just the same.

I only use mine in the UK, as the ambient rarely gets past 20 C, the capacity of the Aldi unit is very practical.

I am on the road all day with work, and use a passive 20lt cool box, £5 from Tesco at the time, mostly just to keep milk fresh and my butties chilled, ready for my lunch break and brew stops.

I fill the Tesco cool box with 7 plastic ice block packs in the morning, and after an 8 hour shift they are still effective.

So the Aldi thermoelectric unit sees little use days, but it has stood the test of time, and I have only had to replace the 12v plug, as that did fall apart after a few years use, and one of the handle retaining lugs broke, which now causes the handle to sometimes detach from the unit, but apart from that I would highly recommend the Aldi thermoelectric cool box’s and I would imagine this latest version to be an improvement on mine.

We've had one for about 3 years, thought it packed up last year however we went out and when we returned voila working a treat everything cool and whirring away. Would definitely recommend.
