Most single burners are around 2KW so will be fine.

I have a handful of gas regulators (Calor butane, propane, campingaz, twin disposables) each with a shortish bit of hose (about 500mm), a Y-piece, and all my appliances (a couple of cookers, a light, a fridge (plus, actually, some blowtorches, but they don't get used for camping!)) have hoses ending in quick-releases. Then you can mix-n-match.

With respect to gas 'power', you need to make sure your regulator can keep up with the flow, but your regulator should quote a max rate and your appliances should quote their max consumption. Also, in theory if it's cold and you're using butane your cylinder might not keep up - you might not get enough heat into the cylinder to evaporate the gas. That's unlikely to happen with a couple of small appliances in a UK summer, but it could if you go camping in January and decide to do some heavy blowtorching while you're at it. If the cylinder gets really cold and your appliance doesn't deliver its normal oomph, you've found the limit. A bigger cylinder helps, or warm your cylinder (if it's a disposable, for example, stick it inside your shirt against your belly - doesn't work with a 7kg calor), or switch to propane, or lower your consumption.
