It will take two of you to carry one. I used to have one for a caravan and could hardly lift it so I wouldn't suggest one for camping in a tent. Much easier to use electric hook-up.
it depends on you camping style and what you intend to power from the battery, if its just lights and the phone charging with a small amount of tv then a leisure battery would be ok, depending on length of stay. I can carry a 75 amp battery no bother, ok not far, but far enough to get from car to tent, but if you plan to use it for a cool box then you are wasting your time, a cool box will generally flatten it in a few hrs
what you could do is use a mobility battery which are a lot smaller in size and weight and then take a solar panel to recharge it

or not to use elec at all
Mmm - that'd be my thoughts.
When we camped the only thing we really needed electricity for was the cooler and a battery would be flatten by that in hours - youd be best with a gas powered fridge.
If its for phones and tablets you can use power packs, solar panels or charge them in the car.
Years back I did used to carry a car battery for lighting etc but don't seem to need it anymore.
The need for electricity isn't as important it used to me IMO, not for me anyway.
Modern Igloo cooler keeps food and ice good for 4-5 days. Modern LED lighting is bright & has low power usage such that a pack of AA's keeps everything well lit for a trip or more. Portable chargers and rechargeable speakers keep iPads and phones charged with no bother.
I do have a log burning stove mind so that keeps us warm.
Have a look at the Goal Zero range of Solar Generators, the Goal Zero Yeti 3000 is the top of the range, but they do a number of more affordable models.
Apart from 12v they have embedded inverters, so also offer 240v ac, like you have at home, fantastic kit, and far better than a fossil generator for camping duties.
They are basicly a leisure battery, but use lithium ion 18650 cells instead of being Lead Acid, so this makes them light weight in comparison.
