Hi all, a new member here! After a few busy years with a couple of house moves, my wife and I will be returning to camping next month all being well. We have spent the last year slowly building up our gear, but we were disappointed in May because our camping trip to France was cancelled due to the ongoing situation.
We have a couple of old Vango tents for weekends, but we have recently bought a decent used Outwell Bear Lake 6 for those longer breaks. I'm glad I found this forum, and hope to learn and contribute plenty of posts whenever I can!
Upcoming trips.....July.....Arrow Bank Country Holiday Park near Leominster.
August....The Willows near Cleethorpes for a family meet up.
September..... Tremorvu Camping near Penzance....
John.
John, I think everyone has forgotten to say welcome to UKCS.
You look forward to your holidays..... no one here has any insider information therefore everything is speculation. Available facilities may well differ between campsites and I'm sure, as an adult, you've done a mental risk assessment and considered what suits you and your family.
I'm sure much use of wipes and hand sanitiser will help with potential risks .

We have booked at Harford Bridge in Devon for a week at the end of July. They will be siting tents and caravans on every second pitch; toilets will be open, again with some basins and toilets cordoned off to allow for social distancing. They will have sanitiser and soap available but do encourage you to being your own if you wish. At the moment the showers will not be open. However they have advised that this will be reviewed as lockdown is eased. If they don’t open then we will cancel and they will refund our deposit. So, it’s fingers crossed and wait and see.
Thank You for the welcome!
Well the first campsite we booked emailed me earlier today saying all was looking good for 9th July, so fingers still crossed.
Happy camping everybody.
PS... Will be reviewing the first time use of the Bear Lake if we decide to take that one..

Hi John. Welcome! Did they indicate whether they will be opening the showers? Where are you going?
The email they sent me didn't say, but their website doesn't say the facilities won't be open, so we're assuming that all will be ok.
Here's where we're going for 3 nights on July 9th

Thanks for the welcome! (Link is in red above)
Ah, we must have just missed you at Arrow Bank - we were there from Saturday to Wednesday! It's a lovely campsite, isn't it? We were meant to stay until today but I had hurt my back before we left and it was far too uncomfortable to stay in a camp bed.
