Mobicool FR40...
I got mine from Germany, so need a UK adaptor for mine, but it was by far the best price at the time, even allowing for carriage.
Shop around though, as this was a few (3 or 4?) years back.

Our latest car (2018) needs the ignition on for it to work in the car, but before that, it was permanently powered, from Derby to Cote D'Azure, be it in the car, or in the tent (On EHU), and permanently at my preferred pre-set temp of 4deg. Ambient temperature is simply not part of the equation!
Cannot fault it. Perfect for us, and our needs, despite my initial reservations regarding the price!

Spiritburner OP's requirements are for 12v or 240v electric no mention of gas.
My post was in reply to the post by Lansettdsave above mine. The 3 ways use 12v or 240v so of course the gas is a further option if no ehu is available or there's no desire to make electricity.
Our Dometic CRX50 just served us well again on an offgrid overnighter from an 'old fashioned' leisure battery topped up with 150w solar. Our battered & well used 3-way Quest remains in the shed on standby.
I'm with spiritburner, 3-way fridge, it's been serving my needs perfectly well for years. Just used it as a freezer (got down to temp at home on 240v, then run on 12v in car) to transport frozen food until caravan inbuilt fridge/icebox (yet another 3-way fridge!) operating properly on site in Devon. Used it that way loads of times, equivalent of a 1 star icebox in domestic fridge, minus 6C, perfectly adequate for food storage for normal holiday period. Now the frozen food is in caravan fridge, it's acting as my beer fridge!
As a proper fridge, it'll serve nearly all your needs, with flexibility of 3 power sources, and at a resonable £200 or so cost. Other options cost more and lack gas as a power source option, but on plus side will freeze to lower temp and consume less power. My view is I don't need an expensive overspecified sledgehammer catering to environments I'm not encountering to crack a simple nut, so my 3-way suits me fine and has proven itself over many years to be perfectly up to the task.

You only have to look on here Monty15 to see the high number of problems that people have with 3 Way fridges, especially when trying to get them to work on gas, and the performance gets even worse when you run them on electric.
I remember going into the camping shop at Marquis leisure Preston, and they had a stack of dead returned 3 Ways in a corner.
OK if your on a tight budget and only go camping in the U.K., then a 3 Way will get you by, you can pick up a new 3 Way fridge for £200 no wonder they are so much more cheaper than a portable 12/24 mains compressor fridge.
We only only camping in the South of France during July, so when it came to buying a new fridge 12 years ago, I new then that the only option was a compressor fridge, and after doing my home work and getting a bit of luck, I picked up a brand new Waeco CF25 for £150.
We new the capacity of the Waeco CF25 was always going to be a compromise, but turned out fine for our fortnight campings, although after five years we added the Mobicool C40 it seemed rude not to at £139 inc delivery from Obelink.NL
The Waeco CF25 is getting on a bit now, so it’s time I upgraded to something a little larger like the Mobicool MCF40, and the Waeco can be used as a deep freezer for camping, I have had it down to -20 even though it’s advertised at -18, but I guess the specific cover I have for it helps a little.
The OP has not stated were they intend to go camping or when, but they are definitely on the right path looking for a electric only fridge.
