What is this?! Parkdale 6pa additional footprint, on the front section not covered by the SIG.
For context, it’s right in the middle, but there is nothing in the mid section that could be pegged in there as far as I can see. It’s an air tent, so no poles (and wouldn’t make sense for king poles as it’s about 1/3 of the way into the tent).
My 6yo son is convinced it’s for indoor wees... any brighter ideas?!!
I wondered that, but it comes right in the middle of the front bit, so when the door is fully open it would be right in the middle of the whole space? Seems odd.
Turns out we’re all wrong. This from the helpful people at outwell - it’s for pegging the bottom of the main tent through the additional footprint! Seems a tad extreme, but I guess you can’t be too careful with an air tent. The peg goes where the dude’s finger is :-)
I thought it was for holding a toilet contraption in place (saves going out in the cold). An upside down plastic bottle attached to a few meters of flexible hose leading under the corner of any nearby caravan awning. Obviously I was wrong.--Would still work though .
Outwell undoubtedly do their own thing, and usually of benefit, my old tent has Velcro 'lashings' to flysheet for coiled up guy ropes for when packed, stops them all getting tangled up, absolute Godsend for quick and easy erection next time you use it. It's the little things like that that make Outwell stuff better than the competition.
BRYANMITCH's 'hose' has it's potential in my view, wouldn't interfere with Outwell's use either! No dribbling on the peg now!
