We have set up a few bell tents for camping but cannot figure out how to get fairy lights in the tent! Seen loads of set ups online that look beautiful and we would love to have some. We don't have mains to the tents, would have to be solar.

Seems like a silly problem, but can't figure out how to charge without the cable being outside, and the tent being able to be zipped up!

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi, we have a bell tent. We have two different systems. We have a led string which plugs into a small portable power bank - just an inexpensive usb phone charger power bank which cost about £15. It lasts for several nights and recharges in an hour or so when it runs out. A chunkier power bank would last for weeks at a time if only running the fairy lights. We have similar to these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Zorela-Lights-Fairy-Outdoor-Christmas/dp/B07W3GHFJ6/ref=s........ plus usb power bank. We run the lights around the edge inside using little craft pegs or Velcro ties depending on which I remember to pack! It’s easy to switch them off and on too.
We also have a solar string which we can use inside or out. The solar panel sits on a spike outside and we run it through the power cable inlet near the door zip into the tent. (There should be one on your tent, it looks like a double fold with a channel through it). The only thing with these is that they stay on all night once they are charged up during the day.

Thank you for your reply! I'm struggling to find the cable inlet. Would you have any images at all?

It’s rolled up in the shed but I’ve had a look at holiday pics and have these two. One shows the cable inlet closed up with a little hook (circled) and the other shows a power cable heading towards the inlet on the other side of the doorway where there’s an identical inlet.

This is a cheap battery powered set (in the awning on this picture but get wrapped around the tent pole in the tent also) that are suitable for outdoor use.
Our bell tent also has a groundsheet that is zipped in so you can unzip it, put a cable through and then zip it up again

Ooo yes, it depends on which type of groundsheet you have. Your lighting looks super.
