Seriously thought about it, upstairs of house pretty much uninhabitable due to the heat. Tent still loitering from last camping trip a couple of weeks ago, not suicidal enough to venture into loft to put it away yet, so very much at hand!
Had the air con in the house been broken down, I would definitely work and sleep in the van as it has air con installed (one of my must have's when I was spec'ing my van).

Cooler tonight - might even stay in the house - and return to my garden sanctuary tomorrow. Last night it was deer or similar having a stand off but fortunately not in close proximity.
People next door to me have had a tent up covering most of the lawn (well, grassy patch) for about a week now. They don't seem to realise they're going to be left with a horrible bald patch. Their nine-year-old is enjoying it though.
------------- Always edited for sloppy typing - when I spot it!
A young lad has raised over £600,000 for his local hospice (where his friend died) by camping in a one person tent in his back garden for over 2 years. He’s now 12 & still not moved back indoors. I don’t think he’s in the original tent though.
The air con packed up in the house as the outside unit has developed a fault, so I am working and sleeping in the van packed up outside my house behind the gates until it is fixed.
