hi, i hope this is in the right section, i was wondering if anyone on here camps alone. i used to camp with wife and kids with an Outwell Nevada 5. we had it up in 10 minutes. now single i now want to camp alone but not sure what tent to get that i'd be able to put up alone. ideally i'd like an outwell cloud 3. any tips or advise would be great. thanks.
When I was camping on my own, I had a Khyam Freelander which was 3-berth for just me and the dog.
It had a decent living area tall enough to stand up, and easy to put up with its Rapidex system.
Their Biker is probably closest to a Freelander nowadays.
Please also consider a Dutch pyramid tent as they are easy to put up by a single person, have a look at ESVO's Bedouin 200 or 240. I had a 340 and was able to put it up on my own.

I don’t know how small a tent you’re prepared to go, but have a read through the Backpacking section as they’re mostly solo campers. Many seem to have multiple tents (like keen cyclists have a bike for different requirements). Their tents might be too small for you but you might get some ideas of good makes to investigate.
I have been camping solo for a good few years now and it all depends on your requirements. I use an Outwell Trout Lake 4 because it has plenty of room, is comfortable and very good at resisting anything a British summer can throw at it. It's easy enough to put up single handed but because of its quality polycotton construction, takes longer to erect than most polyester tents of similar size. I certainly wouldn't recommend one for just overnight use. If, like me, you're looking at remaining in one place for longer stays, they're brilliant.
Gary Cross put out a great series of You Tube videos on how to pitch a tent by yourself.
I now have an ESVO Bedouin 280 that I can easily put up alone in less than 15 minutes. But the weight, bulk, expense and care implications of canvas may not be to your choice.
Bell tents are also popular with people who pitch single handed.
I see the Outwell Cloud 3 isn’t tall enough to stand up in. Unless you specifically want a tent that packs down as small as a tent like that, I would say you don’t need to sacrifice standing height just because you camp single handed. But for a small tent also look at the Eurohike Cairns range https://www.blacks.co.uk/16231968/eurohike-cairns-4-deluxe-nightfall-tent-16231968
I got an air tent when we started out, just so I could pitch it fast, in any weather, with the ‘assistance’ of my then 5 yo daughter. It was an Outwell Concorde M - the polycotton air equivalent of your Nevada. It was ideal for solo camping too. The market has moved on quite a lot but I’d definitely look into air tents if your budget allows. What are you planning though? Backpacking, car camping, touring, festivals, etc? And any notion of budget?
thanks for replying. the plan is to pitch somewhere i can then go for walks. mostly 1 or 2 nights. no particular budget other than if i think it is of value. i will look at air tents a bit closer, weight of it is not an issue as i have a large family saloon to transport equipment.
I've been using an Aztec Mardi Gras 3 tunnel tent that I can put up okay on my own - I'm short, fat and 70. I can stand up in the living area and it's fine for me, for a few nights. Hope you find an end-of-season bargain!

Hello, if your budget can go to £349 then Go Outdoors have the Berghaus Air 4.1 on offer currently. I have the previous version, very easy to put up solo, plenty of room and you can stand up in it.
Hi, I have the Nevada M, for longer stays I do use it. Its fine erecting solo to be fair. Shorter stays< i have a vango zeal.
