Hi just got back from a lovely week's camping in Cornwall in our Cabanon Tent during in Storm Anthony some of my newer anchor rubbers started snapping !
Could anyone recommend some extra-strong replacement ones ?

they are all much the same thing, and its best that they snap rather than your tent ripping, hence the need to carry spares with you. a lot of the wear and tare is down to the type of pegs you use too, metal ones will cut into them, you are best to use the rock peg type, like 8 inch nails with a plastic clip on the top

As a Cabanon owner I share your pain. Some of our rubber peg anchors have perished, but, there should be some D-rings attached to the same area as the tapes that secured the rubber loops. These are for putting in replacement loops: either ones that have an 'arrow' at the top (which you push through the ring so the ends of the arrows sit over each side of the ring: the tension between the peg and ring as the loop is stretched should keep it in place (and give a bit of 'give'). Alternatively, one can fashion loops from corded/covered elastic and put these through the rings like you do with a gift tags ... but they do fall off when you strike the tent and then have to put them back next time... You can probably buy them too.

I hope this makes sense and gives you some thoughts about replacements. It's not so much 'extra strong' as good enough and maybe as the other poster says, better a sacrificial rubber loop than a torn tent. For a similar reason, I think some people put bungee cords at the end of their guys before pegging, so that has a bit of 'give' too.

Yeah totally agree much better to replace some rubbers than to rip my pride and joy ! I did look at the bungee cords with the hook attached, I may order 10 of each and see which I prefer.

I am in the process of replacing all the bungee cord on my tent as they are perished and losing their elasticity. I am using 4mm cord and stainless steel hog rings which I then cover with electrical wire heat shrink for protection from possible corrosion. I find this method to be stronger and better than the rubbers.

Isabella Isaflex fit Cabanon D rings perfectly and are a much better option than traditional pegging rubbers.
