Hi all, looking at a 2 man (for 1 person) tent for a spot of wild camping. Been looking at OEX Phoxx 2v2, Vango Banshee 200 and Berghuas Cheviot 2. The Cheviot is the heaviest of the 3 at around 3kg. Won’t be using it much and only in nice weather so don’t want to spend a fortune. I’ve also seen a Vango Micro TBS 200 second hand but can’t find much info about it - I assume it’s a few years old. Anybody recommend a suitable option around the £100 - £ 150 (or cheaper?) or have any opinions on the above selection?

Of those I'd go for the OEX as it has the best HH. It's also the lightest of the three.
OEX is their own label but unless you want to impress label snobs it's the spec that counts.

They’re decent tents to be fair. Bought a Phoxx 1v1 a couple of years ago for my so but it was way too small for me to use. The 2 seems about right. I’ve had the bobcat and the Rakoon before - Bobcat was too small and I found the Rakoon quite awkward to put up and it was a bit too heady. All good quality though

I've got one of their rucksacks and I'm much happier with it than the vastly more expensive Osprey of the same capacity.

So still hunting for a backpacking tent and have come across the Naturehike Mongar 2 which seems to be a copy of the MSR Hubba Hubba - there’s a review of it on here and generally the reviews I’ve read are good. Anyone got one and can recommend? The inner seems to be all mesh so presume it’s only a one or two season tent?
