We've got a Sassari 6 and also think it's good quality, the Biarritz is this years model with a few minor changes. I guess other than not having the well known name and supposed quality that comes attached, the subtle difference between the Biarritz/Sassari 6 and Diablo 600 is an extra pole over the sleeping compartments, which if you're tall obviously helps..... it's also cheaper!
Loads of space - and it weighs a ton as well (well, just over 30kg). If it helped, you could always split the bag down and carry the poles and flysheet seperately rather than taking one big lump - just spread it about a bit. Tried surfing for you on pack size but didn't get very far - not quoted on the sites I visited - take it from me, it's large.
not had the tents you talk about but another thumbs up for the royal brand we had an avignion 5 tunnel tent and it was fab .................happy trails
we have the royal avignon 6. lovely tent, very sturdy even in high winds/and torrential rain. No leaks/no problems with ours. Would definitely buy another royal.
We have an Avignon 6 Plus. Marvellous tent. Well thought out design. Good quality. Only 'criticism' is that it has a groundsheet that could keep you amused for days trying to work out the right or wrong way to fit. In fact I think I've found 3 possible ways that are almost right, but that's all part of the fun.
Just bought a Royal Avignon 6 plus, had a trail run took a hour to put up fly sheet and a few guys, Great tent though and HUGE!! Lots of head room, living space and 3 sleeping compartments. Me and my 15 year old daughter manage and thats saying something, going tomorrow for 5 days cant wait!!
