Does anyone know anything about this tent, ie pitching, quality etc. We were about to buy a Vango Diablo 600 or 900 but saw this tent at the showroom and quite liked it. Our only concern is the quality as the guy ropes and door fasteners are not as good as the Diablo's, but we like the taller bedrooms and side door in the porch. Also how does it fare with pitch size. It looks massive in the showroom!
Don't know about the Brekenridge but can highly recommend Campus cos we have Indiana 8 - excellent quality, good in bad weather, no probs with zips or guys.

All I can add is that I did own a pre-2005 Campus Breckenridge Deluxe and didn't have any quality issues with it.........it did exactly as it said on the tin

Camnpus have a good reputation. The ones I have seen in the flesh have loked nice tents (big, but then Diablos are just as big really). There are probably less of them out there due to marketing and fashion - Hartfords and Diablos have been the fashion for a while; while the likes of Campus are pushed less.
Personally I can see only minor diferences between all of them in that style - Royals, Diablos, Campus, Sunncamp, Coleman and Wynnster.

Hi I own a campus brekenridge delux and have used it several times this year for our longer camping holidays. We also own a campus harvard delux - this was our starter tent and will still use it for shorter trips. The brekenridge and is great - plenty of space my OH is 6ft 4, 2 teenagers nearly that size as well, a 9 year old and poor old me! We had loads of space in the living area and in the 3 bedrooms (they are supposed to take 3 - but in reality they take 2 people sleeping on air mattresses). The living area has a SIG and is really huge enough for all of us to sit in with chairs, a small wardrobe and other storage bits etc. The porch is a good size and is ideal when its raining for cooking in etc.
As for pitching - it does take us a good hour from start to finish - but I know that once we put it up a few more times it will take less. You will need to book a larger/wider pitch because it is huge. We went away the last two weeks of August to Dorset and had a few days of really bad windy weather - alot of the tents really suffered / lots guide lines ripped etc, but I am glad to say that ours stood the test and was still standing up strong when the winds died down after two days.
Its a great tent with loads of space - and I would definately recommend it - the price is not too bad either.
we looked at this before going for the Diablo, we liked the taller bedrooms in the brekenridge.
In the end could not decide (they were the same price ) so asked the assitants at the shop which one they would buy themselves, they told us the Diablo because the fly sheet was easier to adjust.
Hi we have got the campus breckenridge and love it. The instructions are quite straight forward if you follow them and the poles are colour coded making it easier. It does say you need two adults to put it up although I managed to do it myself in the garden (to see if I could) with a little input raising the poles from my eight year old daughter.
It is very roomy which is why I bought it and is a real bonus in bad weather as there is plenty of room. I went away this summer with my two daughters and my friend and her two daughters, we had plenty of room. Haven't been to a site with marked pitches only been to ones where pitch where you like so not experienced any problems. I have been told they are the sister company or something or other to kyam so have kyam 'technology' don't know whether that is correct or not.
Look on the internet for bargains I picked ours up in January for £200 inc post and it was the cheapest I had found it.

We have just bough a campus brekenridge de luxe for £170. It is seconds from Kyam and looks brand new the only problem is that there are not any instructions. It would be really good if someone could send/email me a copy. THANKYOU
Hi. We have a brekinridge deluxe and i can email you the instructions if you like. Send us your details and i will get them too you. It gets easier with time, but well worth it as brilliant tent with loads of room.
I also have a campus brekenridge and tried it out for the first time at the weekend - ours was up in roughly an hour thanks to other campers though, and we found it to be spot on, we bought it for the SIG as we have dogs and also for the huuggge living section - we figured if we are away somewhere and the rain starts we wanted a tent where we wouldnt get cabin fever for a day or two and its fab - as is the porch which is spot on for the kitchen and cooking...all in all I cannot fault it - and I got it back in the bag first time !
