I have only had a look at one - on a site and in a showroom - so my comments are not based on using one myself.

I was impressed with the tent - great hight, build quality and options with the bedrooms. If you want a tent with all round hight - this is it. I am over 6ft and I am sure I could have put one of the kids on my shoulders inside!

I think there must be various sleeping pod options for it, as the one I had a look around on the site was diferent to the one in the showroom - the one on the site had 4 smaller pods, where as the one in the show room had 1 big and 2 small - I suspect you can therefore buy addiitonal or alternative pods - which is good.

The only issues I thought was the price, wheren compared to something like an Outwell Montana 12 or even a 6 (not using the end two pods of the Fortress). Which is a good comparision - the Outwell has the SIG, but the Sunncamp looked more versatile, light and airy - which is a bit like a Colarado 8...

I agree with Big Bunny - this looks a fine tent but its much more expensive than the Outwell Colorado 8 and only very slightly bigger, if you look at the size of the tent, as opposed to the number of berths quoted. The Montana 12 would be cheaper too. Both the Colorado and the Montana have more living space and give you the choice of leaving any of the inners in or out, and the Montana has the SIG, openable windows, rainsave door as well.

NB I just looked at a couiple of websites and they all showed the Fortress as 6+3+3, with no option to vary this mentioned.
