Hi there, I'm a new member - 10 mins ago in fact!,  but have visited the site before.

Can anyone helpme ?.

Hubby staggered home yesterday with this German made tent from Aldi which he picked up for £45.

It's a 6 person tent, it says on the box - bag feels quite heavy

I have had a look on their website www.adventuridge.de but as expected it's all in german and there aren't any translations.

I'm new to camping and camped in Devon this summer with a cheap little tent I picked up off EBay - a tunnel tent, it rained only once and we stayed dry but were forced to lay on the camp beds as there was no where else to go  - I'm getting too old for that and decided to upgrade.

This tent looks the business, it even has taped seams! and 2,000 PU.

Haven't much of a clue what all that mean  lol!.

CCC have some great tent bargains on.

My husband was trying to please me but is this tent any good?

Does anyone know anything about it?

One of the reasons he bought it for me is that you can stand up in it! , so no more aching backs.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

I hope he's done the right thing as he doesn't have a clue and I'm not much better.

Coleman 500 tents  are £59 in CCC's at moment.

Which is the best tent?

Thanks so much

Hi

A couple of my friends purchased these tents earlier in the year, they have used them all through the year and are still using them. The only thing that they have had to do was apply seam sealant as the seams leaked in a couple of spots but this occurs on most tents. They have withstood the rain and winds which have been thrown at them.

They are well pleased with them as it has introduced them to camping so they are looking for a frame tent for using for weeks holidays and will continue to use the aldi one for weekends

i bought the sleeping bags and have had no problem with them

hope this helps

And a big welcome to the site you will find lots of info that you may require.

cheers

steve

Cheers,

I'm off work recovering from an illness at the moment and have really enjoyed looking at the site. I can see just how addictive it's going to be in the future.
