Hi,
I think this site may take you? I have seen some big tents there, although we have only camped non-EHU in a small tent there. We have been twice, it's a nice site and you can book a private bathroom for a hour FOC (!), useful when you have kids...

They have a seperate EHU area and the tents in there were not small!
Please let me know how you get on as we are currently looking at buying a larger tent and upgrading to EHU. Good luck.
P.S. The picture on my profile was taken at Park Cliffe.

Hi CAMPING MAD,
Glad to hear you've booked, myself & my OH are in the middle of deciding where we will go for our summer holidays as a couple, with the kids & at Easter plus a few bank holidays! I've heard Limefitt books up quickly so thinking about booking for 2 or 3 nights within the next few weeks, maybe Easter or August. How much per night is the super pitch in July & what does that include? I fancy having the space for the tent (Wynnster), maybe a pup tent plus a gazebo for shade too...
I agree, roll on Summer too, although I have just been discussing the benefits of EHU with my Aunty (a caravanner), so we can have heating to begin the season earlier & end later . Can't see us braving it yet though, especially with the extreme cold weather that is supposed to be coming our way according to the rumours .
Just in case anyone reading this thread needs it, the UKCS link for Limefitt Park, Windermere is:

I must admit we have only camped at Park Cliffe with our small tent but I would try a larger one. Having just come back from Limefitt yesterday I feel there is no comparison, I find Park Cliffe to be far superior in terms of customer service, facilities, cleanliness, food and general atmosphere. Limefitt is okay I suppose but not somewhere I would really recommend as it fell short of our expectations in many areas. There were no freezing facilities for ice packs throughout our 4 night stay even though I reported it on day one, we were also overcharged which they could not sort at reception, the toilets/showers were dirty at times, water pressure in showers was so high it was like undergoing water torture, shop was very poor, food in pub was 'dire' to use the description of my other half (and very expensive which doubled the blow!), no stands available for barbeques, etc... We had a superpitch there but would prefer Park Cliffe anyday. I don't like to complain but I feel Limefitt is very overrated in the reviews on this site. I don't know whether the problems we had are early season teething problems? I have also stayed at the sister park to Limefitt (Fallbarrow) and was expecting similar standards (Fallbarrow is great) so this may have added to our disappointment. On the positive side, the setting of Limefitt is lovely and there are some good walks around so we still had a good time, they just need much more attention to detail to be a true 5 star site and needless to say I wouldn't go back unless other sites were full.
