BOADER COLLIES are very excitabe dogs..love playing and snooping around..
they are also veryaffectionate and protectve..they are really a working dog..and love to wander around...we have one ..which is a BITCH in all senses of the word...weve only recently started to take her to our caravan storage site...to get her acustomed to the van......within 10 minutes she made herself at home...lol....but she still loves a rumble when we take to a site or a meet....she will be kept on a tight rieghn...
I personaly dont mind dog on site...Providing they are taken for poo poos every couple of hours...
we took our puppy to a meet in sept when she was 12 weeks old, she has been crate trained so we bought a smaller one to take with us and she slept in that. At the time we had a Montana 6, which meant once in tent she couldn't get out. She wasn't allowed on the ground when we went to the meet cause of her injections but this year she will be. Like the idea of the 2 delta pegs and the nylon line so that she has a abit of a run. Will have to give it a try when we're next away (can't wait), if that don't work we'll try the corkscrew thingy

Hi we to have a border collie too she comes with us on shorter trips and stays at my mums for the 2 week trips she has always been very well behaved when camping, we always tend to be out walking all day, which she loves and when we get back she is more than happy to snooze in the tent a few more little strolls off site for a wee and she is done for the night, she never tried to escape at night and never alone in the day so we are lucky . the only problem we had recently was when OH pack the car and roof box while I was getting some snacks ready for the trip we all came outside ready to go me oh 2 kids and dog looked at the boot and thought thats why it all fitted so well he had not left any space for the dog needless to say a rather rapid unpacking sesion followed and a more squashed pack followed but she's worth it.
hi we have a springer spaniel and she came for her first ever camping trip last year ( she is only 11 months old now we must have been mad) and she was fine we had the big cork screw thing through the day and on a night she was in a canvas cage thing and slept at the bottom of our airbed in our sleeping pod ( well some times she did, the rest of the time she crawelled onto my feet)
yep emma68 they are long gone!!! its just his nature, you can run him all day and he'll still try an early morning flit when hears sheep or whatever. next trip he will be on a cork screw we got one as soon as we came to our senses!!
Corkscrews are a great invention,We found that they can also be used for locking the kids bikes up at night or if you go off in the car for the day. I know most campers are honest & trustworthy but sometimes we have felt it necessary.
------------- if I had 2 fish I'd call name them one & two so if one died i'd still have two
We use a corkscrew with our dog Jay, hes only a little russell so its fine for him when were outside having a few beers, but at night when its time to hit the hay, I like him inside the tent inner with us, I aint keen on the idea of him beening outside or even zipped out the main bedroom. Were lucky cause he wont leave our sides and is very good and house trained. Were a bit naughty though cause he loves to get in the double sleepin bag or if he gets to hot lies on top. I know we should not let him but, in the cold he keeps our feet warm
