Anyone Know where I can get my Rigipod Excelsior repaired. I ripped the seam at the porch entrance and shattered a pole trying to put it up on my tod last year in a storm. Hubby was not impressed and now its my job to get it repaired.

What about the dealer you bought it from? Or try The "Companies Directory" tab.

It's a simple 2 minutes job - yes even for a mere female as myself!

You should have a spare joint in the repair kit that came with the tent - if not they appear to be readily available at camping shops. Remove the damaged joint by pressing the little plastic 'buttons' where the joint connects to the pole - there should be one on each half of the joint. The joint slides off, and you replace with the new one, ensuring that the spring loaded 'buttons' clicks 'home'.

You shouldn't even need to take down the tent to do it, although it would help to have an extra person to hold the two halves vaguely together while you preform your 'magic'!

The only problem I've ever had was replacing one of these joints on our Khyam Garden Shelter. The button had somehow rusted or corroded in some way and was refusing to budge. I ended up just splinting the pole for the rest of the week and decided to fix it when I got home.

I've just realised that this must sound like we break these joints all the time!! Not so! Only twice in six years of camping 2 to 3 times a year with 3 different Khyam tents, and it only happened in the same situation as you - trying to keep it under control whilst putting it up in a gale. I normally use one of each of my children on each corner as ballast, but on the occasion in question it was just my son who was trying to 'help'!

Hope you get it sorted.
