Unfortunately, we didn't pay via credit card, but via debit card.

Check with your bank as I believe some debit cards are now also covered.

Still no response from Khyam to give their opinion regarding if loose and / or missing pole end caps constitutes a fault, or on the fact we have now received two new Khyams with the same problem.........

Mr Aspinall continues to ignore our emails........

Definately go the small claims route, www.moneyclaim.gov.uk

I have used this to successfully claim about 500 UKP from a large well known electrical retailer. Very satisfying in the end, all costs are met by the defendant if you win, which i'm sure you will in this case.

Just a quick update; we have been away for a lengthy camping trip and have returned to find - surprise surprise  - still no response or refund from Aspinalls, but there is email communication from Steve Dodd at Khyam asking if they have sorted things out yet (NOPE!).

Small Claims Court here we come.....

Just one thing, have asked Mr Aspinall to supply copy invoices and he is refusing to do so (well, ignoring requests really, which amounts to the same thing!). Also, we have asked Mr Aspinall to detail, in writing, why he refuses to make refund on a faulty tent which was never opened or used (believe some such response is required by the Small Claims Court?), again, he is taking the ostrich approach and ignoring us.

Oh well, refreshed by the holiday now and so am prepared to fight this battle anew...

This is becoming more addictive than class A drugs .
