Every once in a while someone starts a thread like this.........and as someone with some expertise in psychological matters, I can confirm a few points that you may like to share with your loved ones who may be becoming concerned about your sanity................
1. Camping is the best past time in the world and so it is IMPOSSIBLE to be TOO interested in it - we are not addicts or fetishists, we are committed outdoorists.
2. Human beings have evolved into the most successful species on the planet because we are genetically programmed to be social animals and to form lasting bonds with each other. UKCS offers a valuable cyberspace opportunity for such connections to be made between like-minded souls. This also happens in real time and space on UKCS meets.
3. If all the world took notice of our lead, stop bickering about money, resources, politics and religion, and followed us out under canvas, tin, or whatever, then we could achieve world peace inside 2 years.
4. If anyone thinks that point 3 is an exaggeration, I refer them back to points 1 and 2.
5. I have lots of letters after my name and work in a University, so I AM right.
6. I am on my third G&T and this has helped me to distil my wisdom into the above points.
