Whoops....that`s my kids! We usually try to get the four year old into bed by ten though. Nine year old goes to bed when we do. The plus side of this is that they sleep till about eight or nine am, which suits us just fine.

But I do hasten to add they`re not allowed to run around making a complete nuisance of themselves. (At any time.)Once it starts getting dark boy likes game of pool or similar with his dad, girl likes stories read to her. Or walks round campsite at dusk with us and the torches.

I agree with Val - it also has the advantage that you can sit and relax without  being pestered by a cross child who you have put to bed, when all the other children are still out playing.   I just keep checking on them. Once or twice mine have fallen asleep fully clothed - shower and fresh clothes in the morning and everything is just fine.   Put it this way one evening last year, the kids were down in the play area, I went to check on them Alice was happily playing, no sign of Pip.  We did a quick check, around, and before we launched a full scale search, Richard glanced in the bedroom - the was fast asleep.
I wouldn't allow them to run riot, but there is a big difference between playing and running riot, disturning other campers.

People who slam doors as they are loading-up the car.  Either leave the door open, or keep it closed - PLEASE!  Some of us might still be in bed!

Another vote against kids playing beside your pich and people camping on top of your pitch when there is a whole field to choose from!

Snoring doesn't bother me.  In fact, I find it quite amusing.

...after all an awning is just a three-sided tent!

I think that my biggest hate of all time has to be the gents loo's first thing in the morning and people who either dont know how to flush a loo or worse use the brush.
