hi can anyone give me any info on fleece sleeping bag liners?,which are the best ones just for a standard sleeping bag? and would you recomend using one?
I use one - I find it easier to regulate temperature if I've got a number of layers. Quite often I start off snuggled up in fleecy liner, 3 season sleeping bag and a blanket and during the night I shed layers!
I've used them for years and can well recommend them. They warm up very quickly and feel snuggly - plus keep the inside of your sleeping bag clean. One of my favourite bits of camping equipment.
If you can, get the ones with a full zip (like the ones I recommended above) as you can also use them for when you are sitting in your tent. Pop them in your chair, unzip, sit and zip up again. Hey presto - nice and snug!

i love this forum even though i'm a newbie i'm already addicted.trouble is , its going to cost me a small fortune.
Ilove the idea of a fan heater for when it gets a bit chilly at night. Also the fleece liners sound great for nippy nights or really warm nights when a liner would be ok on its own, Just realised that i would be better off on certificated sites if i had my own porta potti thing, and if i do get all these things i'll probably need a roof box or a trailer to carry them in cos the cars already packed to capacity. i can see my hubby banning me from the site before i bankrupt us. wendy
If you are nifty with a sewing machine (or know someone who is) you can buy fleece fabric very cheaply and run up your own liners for a couple of quid each.
