Hi all have been reading the posts as you do well i started to go camping last year on my second tent (upgrade) AND AFTER LEAVING MY GAZEEBO UP after New Year on my decking and forgetting to take it down looks like i need a new one after i came home from work to find it had taken off and landed in my neighbours garden
well iam thinking now about going the whole hog and getting electric hook up any good bargins about ? also was thinking of getting one of these electric patio heaters
to use in the gazeebo are they good?and also i sound a bit thick on this one can i use general household appliences like fan heaters or not without taking plugs off or do they have to be a certain voltagesorry if i sound thick but have no one else to ask and iam sure that the members of UKCS can help me ,please.
I personally dont like to see gazeebos on campsites ,as you said yourself yours 'took off' imagine the damage that could do to someone elses tent if it was on a site ?
In my opinion there are much more suitable alternatives that are especially designed for use whilst camping ,what do you use it for ? cooking ,eating, relaxing ?
i used it for cooking eating relaxing ,i think my problem was i secured it on wooden decking and left it up 4 a week that may have been something to do with it.
I can recommend the Sunnroom Day Room. My OH watched a number of Gazebo's take off in the wind at the Silverstone GP last year, he stayed warm and sheltered with his beer under the dayroom!! (he tried to help with the first couple but then gave up!)
I like the look of those Day Rooms Skatty - very tempted, but will have to hide it from the OH - he thinks we have too many tents and other bits and bobs that go with the camping. But I think it is an essential piece of equipment to have!! So will have to buy and hide it - then act all surprise when we put it up saying "I'm sure I told you about the day tent, I bought it ages ago"!!!!! Just like that new top or shoes that I tend to sneak in every now and again.

I would also recommend buying a decent dayroom because as skatty says gazebos can do a lot of damage when they take of as they quite often do
Pin 'em down with Robs pegs and they ain't going nowhere
