We had been looking at the Wynnster Condor 6 but finding it impossible to find anyone who stocks it/has it on display. So we started looking at the Pegasus.....but my husband is concerned about the porch - thinks that if a bit of serious wind blows it may not be entirely conducive to tent staying attached to ground. I am quite keen on tent staying on ground - call me boring if you will!

Realise it is fairly new style but wondered if you people have any thoughts.

Thanks in advance

It doesn't look like an overly large porch so it may be ok, I have the Outwell side canopy on mine and it's stood up extremely well to some very strong winds........so far!!!

Looking at the pics then it only looks like it has a couple of guys lines on the porch canopy itself so maybe it would benefit from attaching a couple of extra ones.

Check out the full pitching instructions here which may sway you one way or the other.

Will it live up to its' name? You mean sh1t on you from a great height?

Seriously tho the difference between the condor and pegasus is the sewn in groundsheet with the condor. Pluses are no insects and no draughts, downside is it takes longer to erect and is inner first so less practical in the rain.

Big porch canopies are this years thing too so if you want to be ahead of the crowd pegasus is ideal.

Hopefully there is a venting system to take the power out of the wind if it does catch it but i haven't seen one in the flesh either.

As you're looking at 2006 model tents there is no rush best wait til you can see it live.

We have a Pegasus 7, recently purchased. On its first outing, rather than taking off, it did the opposite and I awoke to find the top of the tent resting on my nose. Fortunately it all sprang back into shape when the gust passed, but it did split a pole in the front canopy - there is no vent there. On revisiting the showroom, I noticed that the display model had several split poles, if only I'd noticed before buying!
