Have a look at the 'X' leg cots at Argos... They're pretty comfortable, especially if you have a 'Coleman Comfort' airbed on top!... But I would imagine a nice 'foam mat' or 'self inflating' mattress on the top, would be just as comfortable...
The 'cots' are very sturdy with a canvas top, they take about two minutes to put up and best of all... They only cost £20!... I recommend them, for a good nights sleep, while camping and as a 'put you up' at home...
Yep, I've got a couple of these, they hold my ample weight just fine, I don't get a bad back from them which I always did with an airbed, and there is plenty of room to store stuff underneath.
I too yearn for a comfortable night's sleep when camping. I have noticed an "Anywhere bed" advertised by Sleep Impressions. Can anyone recommend these beds as they are very expensive and I would need to know they are worth the money!
Check the unfolding camp beds (like the chairs) at the larger Tesco stores. They're wider than the usual, very study (the don't tip easy), very comfortable and only £19.97.

Hi Suzy, I have a thermarest mattress which is comfortable enough for me, but I have sometimes wondered about additionally getting a camp bed like yours purely for the storage/space saving advantage. MT
