Yet another tent question - but I want to make sure we buy the right tent. We were going to go for the Outwell Montana 4 or the Hartford L (there are only the two of us and no kids) but merryterrier has got us thinking about a Sunncamp (either the Evolution 600 or the Pathfinder). Only trouble is I can't find much info on either, not to mention seeing one actually erected somewhere! We're going to our first Yeomans camping exibition at the weekend (Outwells galore I'm sure) but I am desperate to find out more about the Sunncamps. We've had Outwells before and know they're good but we are Sunncamp 'virgins' so to speak..... Help!
I went to see the Sunncamp vario, but was disappointed with the quality of materials and finish. I would definately go for the Outwell as they ouze quality.
I went for the Hartford L in the end, but it was a tough choice between this and the Montana 6.
The Montana was excellent, but just that bit to big for the two of us
Hi emgin, I haven't seen an Evolution 400/600 up but it looks like a good, value for money, lighter-weight/smaller pack size tent in terms of having standing height, SIG etc. Sunncamp are a reputable make and lots of people on here have them.
The Montana 4 I am sure would be the better quality tent, but its twice the price and a bulkier packsize. MT

Sure i read somewhere...on here..that sunncamp is part of outwell...may be wronge though
Don't know about Sunncamp but if you go to the easycamp site and click on any of the tent photos they come up as an Outwell address. Found this out when looking at the Napoli.
There is a tent manufacturing parent company called OASE, which owns three brands Robens, Outwell and Easycamp through which it markets tents to different sectors of the market. MT

Just got the Sunncamp brochure through and the Evolution 600 does look good. Very stable coz of the way it is built and the dimensions make the living area bigger than the Coleman Sahara although it does slope down at the front whereas the Saraha was pretty much straight up. But if the Evolution stands up to the wind better, then that will do for us! We're off to the Yeomans camping exibition in Notts today so we will no doubt be swayed by Outwells again. Ooh decisions decisions....
Well we've bin and gone and done it! Just bought a Montana 4 from the Yeomans camping exibition! We were only meant to be having a look....! Actually stood in the Montana for the first time and realised that it's a good size in the living area and of course I don't think I could ever go back to not having the SIG having been spoiled with one in the Sahara. I think (hope) we will be happy with it. Just need the weather to warm up a bit and away we go...... again.......!
