Have read about Diablos for the last two years on all the threads and never particularly fancied one till today when I saw one up at Blackburn in a very poor tent display. Thought it was lovely, the thing is I know someone who has one for sale that was only used once last year from new and they are only asking £150. If I can get it even cheaper than that I might join the Diablo fan club. PamJ
That's a knockout price Pam - and a very popular tent. If you are happy with its specifications and have read the pros and cons on here, and you think it's the one for you, then I would snap it up at that price!
A secondhand 2004 model sold on e-bay last week for £130 so you may as well give it a go, you'd probably get most of your money back if you decide to sell on.
They're great tents, we're really pleased with ours.
we just bought one for £199 on ebay, and its brand new, if that one has only been used once then go and get it!!! They are brilliant, we are really pleased with ours, put it up in the garden and its great, can't wait to go away in it!!
Hi, went camping with friends who own a diablo 600 and they have a bit of a nightmare every time they erect it.Getting the outer tent over and in the correct position seems to be the diablos downfall. Great indoor living space if you can manage it though.
Echo comments from Timbers. We have one. It's great once it's up. It's just a nightmare getting to that point. So much hassle I no longer think it worthwhile for a weekend.
I think Vango needs to run a workshop on erecting the thing...
We have no problems with ours, just remember to have someone raise the two cross centre poles when putting in the pins (this will mean you don't break poles and will have enough material and have two people walk the flysheet over from front (porch opening) to back, dont attempt to throw as this will wreck your shoulders and give everyone else a bit of a giggle!
Love the vango but saw a new tunnel tent from sunncamp at a tent show and am thinking that I could have 2 tents...
