Sorry with the late post on this topic, but I just spotted it.

I was fortunate enough to get a secondhand hardly used Cabanon (after the Lakes destroyed my last tent, a sunncamp).
I have to say that after 40 years of canvas camping I have reached tent heaven.
I would reccomend it to anyone, build quality is second to none and for some reason the canvas doesn't seem to hold the water and a couple of  hours after rain it is dry enough to pack. It's true the pole bag is large but not that much more hassle than any other big frame tent.

Hi all and Hubby ( looking forward to you coming home today, see all the goodies i've brought for our camping :-) ),

I'm waiting this morning for the delivery of the Nabraska XL tent, after a lot of thought and our budget in mind, we think this is going to suit us and our two young boys. Well we will find out very soon ....... Easter weekend in Croyde Devon. Just got to concentrate now with the ever helpful little hands to clean our VW Camper for next weekend. Thanks again for all your advice.

We have the Marechal Club 4 small frame tent. It is excellent quality (it has a strong steel frame & the canvas seems thicker & therefore heavier than some cotton canvas I've seen, and quality of workmanship is good). It's so far stood up to absolutely torrential (& I really do mean torrential) rain with no leaks whatsoever, when campers in other tents on site were getting soaked. It's also stood up to gale force winds without any problems - at no stage were we ever worried it might not stand up to the conditions, it seemed that secure, when some dome tents on site were being buffeted about and their flexible poles allowing them to be bent almost flat. 

And I can erect it on my own although it's much easier with two.

We'd thoroughly recommend it.

Well the Nebraska XL has arrived and looks ace it comes in a great bag, with wheels...

Also the Mobicool A40 has arrived, that that really is Cold Beer Heaven!!

Trial run down at Ruda next weekend..

Will report back on the tent after bank hols...

The trial run down at Ruda went really really well, the tent was massive and superb Although we only went fo two nights we learnt a lot....i promised myself it will not take 6 hours to set up camp next time never mind, so it was a steep learning curve..I know where I went wrong..  lol

The weather was good and a surfing contest was ongoing which made for a nice scene. The boys may have got a little cold at night, but after we covered them both in all available coats they seemed happy enough.

We are off down to the New forest next, maybe Sandy B...

Anyone know the names of those massive caves in Wales? and maybe a site close by??
