Well i made my mind up over the weekend and i went out and got a Sunncamp Evolution 400 Tent from TowSure. We wanted a smaller and light tent to fit into our new small car so we sold our Vango Colorado 600. We was going to go for the Campus Yale but we thought we would buy this new desgin of the tent and for £105 it's not a bad tent for the price
Is there any other members that have this tent yet
I don't know if this will help, but the advice we were given for my son's low height, original design Evolution was poles through, ring and pin, then peg out the back wall of the fly to its maximum width and after that the rest of the pegging and the guys should be straightforward. We were told that sometimes people got in a knot, eg ending up with too much fabric at the front, if they didn't get that back line right first. MT

Nice tent! Some of my chums have got this for a weekend tent (they have a diablo 600 too!) and though they only used it once last year they were very pleased. I think it gives a good space to weight ratio - and am I right in thinking that the 2006 model has a fully sewn in groundsheet? Or am I hallucinating agin??
I too like the look of this tent and would be interested to know how quick & easy it is to erect. I'd also like to see one on display somewhere if anyone knows anywhere that has one up?
Hi Tricky, maybe worth giving your local Towsure a call as they are in this years catalogue and they have one on display in our local store in Southampton. Bought myself the Evo 600 from Awnings Direct £162 with Free P&P, arrived today. Already had it up and down in the garden in absolutely no time at all!
I was going to put the Evo400 up in the garden at the weekend but did not get a chance due to all the rain and some snow. We will just have to risk putting the tent up for the first time without checking it next weekend when we go away.
Hi Chris, I saw an Evo 400 up at a camping display at the weekend. I thought it looked very smart. And it had more refinements than you might expect for such a good value price eg plenty of venting options, adjustable windows at the front (vinyl/curtains/mesh), ehu inlet port, a series of velcro loops up the seam of the fly for carrying an electric lead up to the lamp hook, three different venting options on the generous sleeping inner. And double plus points for looking cool! MT

Well got back on tusday from a great camping trip on the east coast. We found the Evolution 400 to be the best tent we have had and very easy and quick to put up and take down.
We also cooked in the tent which was ok but you have to be carefull if you are using hot fat in a pan.
We are now going to get a EHU as the tent has loads of places to fit lights and a ehu unit
