Just been given a Khyam Galxay 400 by my sister, don't think camping agrees with her. Anybody have instructions, (sister doesn't), for putting this up, as I don't want to look an idiot the first time we take it out.

We've got a similar tent - the Khyam Conquest. The Galaxy 400 is virtually the same, just a bit taller from what I've seen.

First thing to do is to grab hold of the hub (the round bit at the centre that all the main poles are attached to), and lift that up. We find it easiest at this point for myself to go inside the tent and push the hub up as far as possible while my husband clicks the joints into place (if you go on the Khyam website and look at the Flexidome tents there are some product videos so this will give you an idea of how to lock the joints - it's easy though). You can do it yourself though going round to each of the four poles and locking the joints into place without anyone inside.

Then peg down the bit you've just erected so that it doesn't take off.

Next thread through the bedroom poles, and insert the pin into the end of each pole.

Peg it out and Bob's your uncle. We have ours up in a matter of minutes.

Hope this helps.

We also have a conquest and have just a bought tourer 400.

They are both similar to put up and if you look on Khyams website at the instructions for the tourer 400 - they have a video which you can watch on the website.

Hope this helps

Sharon

It's one of the flexidome family. Look on Khyam,s site there's a video on there. I'm sure there was a thread on this or the 600.

Hey Up Geddie - I did an VERY long post with detailed instructions based from my knowledge of the Conquest 400 which we have as a weekend tent. The thread it was in is here.

Just bear in mind that I was trying to talk someone through doing a Galaxy 600, which has a third bedroom, so if you ignore my bits of guess work about how the third bedroom pole might work, you should be ok!

See you are new to UKCS -welcome aboard!
