If you just stick to normal things like, light, kettle ( get a lower wattage one 2kw or under ), hairdryer etc etc, you wont have a problem.  Mine has only ever tripped once and I just plug in what I need when I need it.  The only time I am carefull is in the colder parts of the year when I am running a heater.  We normally don't have much on ( maybe a light ) when the kettle is plugged in but other than that we just use it like we do at home.  We never really sit down and count the wattages, but I just have a rough idea when I am buying things for camping that are electrical.

If you overload, it wont cause the site any problems, your EHU unit will turn off ( shutdown ).  All you do then is turn some things off, open up the little glass windows and flick the switch back on, takes seconds.

Hi there. I've just got back from being away at my parents. I've been tempted by the ones on ebay I must admit, but am feeling a bit wary of them now! I'm going to have a browse around. Thanks for all the advice.
Sylvia
