Hi Matty,
I'm no expert on this subject, but if I'm not mistaken this tent has a Hydrostatic Head (HH) of 800mm, which, quite frankly, is just not up to the UK weather, I personally would not buy anything with a HH less than 2000 for use in the UK.
Cheers,
Graham

They will drag you down to their level, and then beat you with experience!
I bought something from this guy, wasnt a tent so cant comment on the quality, but his customer service was appaling! Took 5 weeks for the item to arrive then when it finally did it was broken. After numerous emails and a few unanswered phone calls, i finally got it changed for a new one but then had to wait another 3 weeks for the delivery. I would never buy from this guy again!

And why would you need an ultra violet resistant floor?
That's easy! It's so that when someone sneezes inside the tent, and the outer shreads like paper, the floor is better protected from the sun for the remainder of your 2 week hols!
I know you get what you pay for, but I'm not likely to be out in a monsoon and I'm trying to save cash by not travelling so much (Diesel getting towards £1/l and I often have to work at an office 150 miles from home but only a couple of miles from a campsite!)
The Royal Phoenix 3 is a cracking tent, I've had one for several years and it's been fine in all weathers. Good quality no-frills tent built to an established design. I paid a lot more than £25 for mine years a ago so i'd snap it up at that price!
The Royal looks good to me Certainly be more pleasant than the Gelert to sit & drink your cuppa before you head back to work - two lovely big windows At £25 it looks like a great bargain.
