Hi

Please could anyone give me some info' on the 'Peakland Matlock' as I am interested in this particular tent ~ it looks a great tent and was wondering if anyone else has used one of these before and what they think of it.

Thanks

Kath

Just brought one myself, but not had chance to pitch it yet.
I must agree it is a really nice tent and well made, hopeing to pitch it this weekend so will keep you posted.
I must say I also like a tent that goes up easily (big factor in my purchase choice) and I am certain this one will.

Hi Steve

Have you used your new tent yet? I am asking as my son won't be able to collect his untill Thursday this week and we want to go away this weekend, they had sold 3 in the week and was out of stock so the lady in the shop assured us she would have one delivered on Thursday with their normal delivery so he won't have much time to try and put it up before we go, so was wondering if you have used yours yet and what you think of it ~ like was it easy putting it up etc? If so, hope it was ok and you were pleased with it.

All the Best

Griff

Hello Griff,

Yes we have given it a trial run in the garden.
First of all we had to pitch the inner tent by placing the colour coded poles through the sleeves.

Get the dome section up first and pop the pins into the bottoms of the four poles corners ,then peg them down.
The bedroom and the porch are pretty straight forward after the dome has gone up.

Then finally pull the fly sheet over and fasten the Velcro tabs around the poles inside and then peg out.

In all we had it up in about forty minutes.

Have a nice weekend

Hi Steve

Did you use your PM after? my son and family used theirs over the May Bank Holiday and was quite pleased with it and I was wishing I had bought one myself now, our Sun Valley 8 is a lovely tent but like a barn and theirs seemed lovely and cozy with their halogen heater glowing - so how did yours live up to expectations?

Griff

No we have only had a trial run at putting it up so far but i am really pleased with it.

Our first proper run out will be in august at the big meadow in ilfracombe.
Glad your son and family had no problems

Steve

We bought a PM at the beginning of the summer 07- and have camped four times with it. This included two weeks camping at two sites in France - so lots more luggage & equipment...but we found we had enough room for all our gear plus the porch was great when the weather wasn't.
