SK Camping is our 'local' camping store and we have always found them very helpful. We bought our Khyam from them, as well as loads of other kit. Gave us great advice when purchasing our camping fridge too! Large display of tents each year if you live near enough to visit.

Never bought mail order from them though.

SK is great in the fact that it is local and have many tents set up for display.

Sadly when I visted a couple of weeks it had just snowed and knocked several of them over.

Hi there, bought our SV8 from them 4 days ago and found them very helpful - mind you it was our fourth visit to them in a fortnight so maybe they were just grateful to get rid of us!! 

Duffnut they do have the SV8 up on display - it's absolutely gorgeous!!!  Really really chuffed.  However be quick and visit as they seem to be swapping their display models all the time.

Hi there sweetchks61,  we were so excited with our new tent that we rushed home to pitch it at 6pm that day but after laying everything out we realised that our garden was not wide enough to feed/bend the poles without either killing half our borders or stabbing our neighbours kids!!  It was so embarrassing having them watch us struggle that we gave up (not before the dog had decided to go into the deflated tent without knowing how to get out!!).  Hmm looks like we'll be the lemons you'll all be laughing at trying to put up their tent for the first time when camping!! Unfortunately I have no idea about velcro - got me worried now - maybe that's what trapped the dog!!

Simtrac, SK are very reasonable you'll find their prices quite hard to beat - I tried!

thanks for replying sassy don't worry about pitching we did it first time without any probs, started at the back and worked way forward.  I must admit i had a good giggle picturing you your oh the dog and the neighbours kids he he he. think we all getting excited i booked for friday and can't wait, i have also bought delta ground pegs (lots of threads on here) there were one of my must haves.  I have been on the outwell web site watched the video, read everything about sv8 and decided i would send them an email, will let you know what they say.  Roll on Friday.

Simtrac sorry not been any help to you but could not help asking sassy, you see i stumbled across this site and have never been the same and now i leap and bound to any store that as anything to do with camping.

Just bought an Easycamp Annexe from SK,  helpfull staff best price, £55, & great service. 

 What more can you ask for?
