took our tent out last week for the first outing but a bit disappointed with the overall shape of it compared to last years model, we just could'nt get the shape even it seemed to be all over no matter how we tried to even it it just stayed slanted and overall pitch meant we had a section of the tent that was'nt taught so just sagged any tips on solving this problem?

Can't help with this i'm afraid, but i am bumping you back to the top in hope that someone else can. I too have the new Montana 6 but have not had chance to put it up yet so any tips would be helpful.
I must admit, I found this a bit with our new Monty 12. I think the porch has a fair bit to do with it. Last years model we could easily fully pitch in about 30 mins. I have sued ours 4 times this year and each time it has taken me well in excess of that to get it all straight and correct ( nearer 1 hour ). I managed it last weekend in 45 mins in the garden but it still didn't seem perfect.
ive got the new monty 6 not had the chance to put it up i had last years model which went up no problems im off this bank holiday hope it goes up ok cos i will be putting it up in the dark

There are a number of topics on here about the montana. CLICK Please persevere with it as believe me it is a fantastic tent. We have mastered ours now. From a previous post..."We found it best to lay it out flat, peg out the back corners, then put in the first roof pole. We then attached the side poles, with bottoms pointing towards the front of the tent; and then raised it up. One person then holds the end up while the other loosely guyed the back corners just to hold the end up. It helps if you lift the bottoms of the side poles towards the rear so that its leaning, held by the corner guys. We then did the next roof pole, and sides etc. We found its best to ensure the webbing straps on the floor are fully out, and that the front door is open. If yours is new then I'd crawl inside and get plenty of air inside before putting it up. The just drag the bottoms about to space and peg out the other end. Easy peezee." Let us know how you get on...
Funny enough Andy I have a typing problem with the words 'used' and 'sued'. It seems my fingers are in automatic mode on a keyboard when I type this word. Maybe I was a lawyer in a past life.
