Having tried out my new Ridgi-pod Classic this week for a couple of nights in the Lakes I am more than pleased with it, no leaks whatsoever dispite a horrendous  thunder and rain storn last night !

My question is about pitching, for anyone who has pitched one :

Following the DVD instructions,  I put the roof section out with the legs still folded underneath, locking out the "B" joints as I go and am left with the tent on its "knees" as the guy on the DVD says.

At this point I dont seem to be able to stop the central hub from collapsing to the ground and the legs splaying out leaving it all flat on the ground.

Am I doing something wrong

hmmmm... we have an xl classic which goes up in a similar fashion, but when you have locked out the first joints closest to the roof centre and the tent is on it's knee's it shouldn't be able to be flat on the floor. It should be knelt up and the other parts of the legs underneath waiting to be stretched out.
I'm sure someone else will be along soon able to offer more help

We have had a Rigidome for several years, but just last week upgraded to a Rigipod . The process of unfolding the central hub was identical, and even though the tent is bigger it was just as easy putting it up, even single-handed. (But as I say I have had several years of practice.)

Make sure that when you get it on its 'knees' that the legs are not splayed out too far. I must admit that the trickiest part of the whole manoeuvre is bringing that last leg joint over and into position without it collapsing, (there is a definite knack to it!)but once that is in place it should support itself well on its knees,  ... and it's plain sailing after that.

Have just had a thought though ... make sure that all the zips for the doors etc are done up. It may well be that at that inbetween stage, the fabric of the tent helps to hold it in its upright shape. Once fully up, the webbing straps help to keep its shape whether the zips are done up or not. Just a thought!

Really pleased to hear that you are enjoying your tent. We are looking forward to using ours at half-term. Can't wait!
