We have a Coleman BiSpace 500 that we'll be using for 3 day and longer holidays, and are after a smaller, quicker to pitch tent for 1-2 night breaks.

Not looking to spend a fortune (seeing a lot of sub £40 tents around) but want something thats a tad better than our Pro-Action condensation maker! Had a Vango Delta 400 but its being sent back due to material faults, was a nice size tent tho.

Only criterias are 3 man size, porch and roughtly 125mm+ headroom - porch windows would be nice too.

Seen the Wynnster Prairie 3 for under £35, and the Coleman Crestline 3, but cant find reviews of either!

Opinions and suggestions welcomed

Thanks

What about a Sunncamp Voyager 4XL http://www.camping-supplies-uk.com/tents/sunncamp/sunncamp-voyager404.htm?PHPSESSID=0d64fd123b74db390599a22a5475c2dd?

Or a Suncamp Evolution http://www.outdoorfocus.co.uk/low_fibreglass_tents/Sunncamp/evolution_info.htm ?

A Wynnster Shrike 4 http://clkuk.tradedoubler.com/click?p=1856&a=282492&g=19117&url=http://clkuk.tradedoubler.com/click?p=1856&a=282492&g=19117&url=http://www.gear-zone.co.uk/eshop/Wynnster-Shrike-4---SS06.html?

But these are all about the £50/£60 mark, which may be more than you want to spend.

The Coleman Crestline you ahve mentioned does look like a good deal for £38 http://www.worldofcamping.co.uk/shop/Detail.asp?category=1&subcategory=36&ProductID=1056

The Apache3+ is £35 and has the advantage of all the occupants having equal access to the door from inside the sleeping inner, and a rear porch where you can put at least some of your bags and not be climbing over it all every time you go in and out the front. But it doesn't seem to have any windows. Hmm. http://www.worldofcamping.co.uk/shop/Detail.asp?category=1&subcategory=36&ProductID=1014

Hope that cheers you up! MT

You also will need to choose your site carefully, as most sites won't take a party of 3 men.

I use a Royal Phoenix 3 Plus, I shopped around and got it for £24.99 in the end locally.

I've used it for 3 nights this year in the cold and the rain (well, one night was OK ish!) and it hasn't leaked.  There is some condensation but I have nothing to compare it to really. It has a vent and I've not been wet from any condensation yet!

The porch is a useful size and it has windows at the front and top, see pictures in my profile/gallery.

I will be camping in it tonight and there is some pretty heavy rain around... I'll let you know how it survives!

Steve

Have a look at the Gelert Colima 3TD... it has 2 porches, one at each end, and is easy to erect.
