Well, what an afternoon, after buying the tent about 3 weeks ago, and waiting for good enough weather (for a weekend) to put it up. We spent nearly 2hrs putting up this rather large beast, but we eventually got it sorted. (sure it's twice the size in the garden than it was when on display)
Couple of questions if I may ?
Any tips on the erecting of the Brekenridge deluxe, as the instructions were clear, but not all that clear, if you other owners know what I mean? (got there in the end though, but there must be a qicker way !!!!)
And another thing is, does anybody know how to get it back into the blinking bag ? Or should we just opt for the easy way out and get a bigger bag..?
I don't have a problem getting ours back in the bag, it just takes practice. I fold the flysheet into a rectangular shape around 2ft x 6ft and then once I've got the inner tent dismantled and laid flat, I pop the folded flysheet into the middle and fold the inner around it. You just have to ensure you fold it all nice and neatly (i.e fold all the bedroom pods in first etc).
Took us over 2 hrs to erect the first time, now takes up about 40 mins from start to finish - so it does get easier!!

Cheers guys, must be us then, looks like we will keep trying to get it back in the bag for a while longer, failing that get another bag for the poles..
Hummm! just splashed out on a new Brekenridge Delux- A practice run sounds a good idea, except it's probably bigger the my garden. Question is it better with two or more people to put it up?
I would reccomend two or more people to erect took us about 40 mins first time with ours & we got it in the bag quite easily when taking down, you just have to roll everything up really tightly.
I also just bought the Brekenridge Deluxe, looked great on display. Choice was Diablo 900, Aztec Cantera 9, or the Khyam, and the Khyam won.
Now I want to put it up before taking our first trip, but its been raining for the last two weeks and I cant find anywhere big enough. I just know it will pour down all bank holiday weekend.
Already taken the poles out and put in a seperate bag, they make the bag so much smaller & lighter. My concern is the number of tent pegs provided !!!! There must be hundreds, no wonder it takes hours to put up
Has anyone found any instructions for this tent, other that the rather poor quality ones provided, I have searched for hours on internet but nothing found
There are far more tent pegs than you'll use - even if you peg your neighbours kids down too! They are bog-standard rubbish tent pegs though - my advise would be to use them only on the inner tent get some of the Delta Ground Anchor pegs for the fly sheet and guys, they are much more substantial (and look better too!)
Claire.
BTW - It's going to be GLORIOUS HOT SUNSHINE all Bank Holiday Weekend - Wash your mouth out with soap and water for saying it will R**N!!!

Shane is showing off, nobody gets it up in 40 mins first time!!!!
we got tent back in bag, but poles now have a bag all of their own. Instructions say put pod poles in and then erect, but previous advice on this site told us to thread bedroom poles in when tent was up and that worked much better.
Success - two hours of sweating under a June sun at the Grand prix I finally get it up. Not the best attempt first time I admit. Got it back into the bag no problem, though I did have help!
we have a khyam brekenridge and we can now put it up in under 1 hour easy and although its a bedroom pod less than the deluxe I would say the easiest way to erect one of these is to do the inner ring first - it may be the same for the deluxe but for mine its only 3 poles - get them up and your laughing ! you then do a bedroom at a time after that and hey ho clip it to the bedrooom poles and away you go - flysheet on tie it on and peg it down...thats the best way we have found to doing it - hope that helps somewhat
