 Hi All.

Im fairly new to this camping lark but loving it. I have just bought a second hand Sunncamp omega xl tent from my brother in law. Unfortunately it has no instructions for "puttin it up". Bit scared im going to look areal prat at some camp site wrapped in lots of tent folds and guides. Can anyone offer any suggestions. Have tried looking on sunncamp web site to no avail has anyone got the same tent that they could e mail instructions to me.

hI Beech

If you look on the flysheet you should see two red sleeves in a criss cross, your poles should be colour coded which you thread through. Then on your bedroom pods they should be blue sleeve to put the blue poles through. make sure the ventalation thingy is fastened to stop rain coming in then it's a case of putting the red poles up first to make your dome then insert into the d rings then put your blue poles up to form your bedroom pods same procedure. then peg out. Also there should be some green coded poles for the door

If you want more advice I'll try and answer you questions

Hi Beech

Yes I can stand up in mine, I'm assuming the xl is a dome tent, like mine. I would imagine it will be the same procedure, Just follow the colour coded system on your poles and flysheet. Basically the two longest poles  to form a cross then your bedroom poles should be smaller and thread through where your bedroom pods are.

When threading poles be careful of the material bunching up

The flysheet(main tent) is erected first then you put the inner pods inside the tent but there again some tents you pitch inner tent first the flysheet second oooh it can be a bit confusing at first. Yours is definately flysheet first

I had an Omega XL which got stolen from my shed - they forget the poles though so some justice there !

Replaced it with an XP and there isn't much difference.    Be careful flexing the poles as they do take a bit of effort and make sure they don't become separated when pushing through the sleeves.   Also note - push not pull the poles.

It's a great tent - tons of space.
