To go back to the original thread I would recommend the Montana 12
We are two adults and two children, one of each sex. We also like the advantage of using a portapotty. The Montana is the only tent offering the possibility of four separatable compartments. So at one end of the tent we have my wife and I, next door to the portapotty compartment, and at the other end the children have the other 2 compartments, which they can join if they wish (but which they separate when changing).
The thing I like about the Montana is the standing height in the bedrooms. Also the living area is big enough to cook in when the weather is inclement. The only disappointment was the small porch, but this was partially remedied in the 2006 model with it's lengthened porch (although I would personally prefer an even larger porch)
As for the Bear Lake, it looks a gorgeous tent, and I beleve the fabric is meant to last much longer, but I would buy one just for my wife and myself (and the portapotty) to escape without the children
