I can remember reading about someone who covered the entire inside of their Monty 6 with picnic rugs.    If you're reading this............can I just ask how many picnic rugs cover the living area only - not the bedroom pods???

Surely it would depend on the size of the picnic rugs? I don't think it would be too tricky to work this one out yourself, really. The chances of you being able to locate the exact same sized picnic rugs as the other person is pretty minimal anyway.

We cover our floor with ECO-Mat.  Its not the cheapest thing around, but its conveniant and goes down in one lump so there are no bits to trip over or ends to come up.  We got 3m x 4m worth which just leaves a few inches either side by the front door and by the bedroom pods that isn't covered.  We did this mainly to protect the groundsheet from things like tables and chairs, but it does create a nice soft and warm floor to walk on.  I think we paid about £40 for it.  But it would take multiple picnic rugs to cover the floor so I guess the time you add up what it would costs for a few picnic rugs ( at about £5 each for a cheapie ) there wouldn't be much difference in cost, plus it folds up into one square when not in use so is fairly easy to transport ( about the same size as a footprint groundsheet ).

We do exactly the same thing with our Montana 12, Montana 4 and Nebraska, although on the others it is a complete fit with no groundsheet showing.  Unfortunately, the floor of the Montana 6 is just that little bit bigger to be able to get 1 piece of ECO-Mat.
