Hi there sparky, we used to have the same trailer tent 1996 model, which did us proud, never once let us down in all weathers and we brought ours 2nd hand and just sold ours as upgraded to a long awaited 2nd hand folding camper...our awning was left permently zipped to trailer compartment as advised by prevoius owners... hope i can help you if your is simular but i'm not good at explaining so here goes... as for the frame the three brass bars inside the trailer part extent out but do not extend fully, you then attach the T piece poles that go either side to the cross bar pole that attaches to make middle of awning, these all go onto the brass coloured poles then clip ground feets poles on only 2 for each side with clips for I.D, then you will have two feet poles with L shape tops on these are for the end/front of awning.all the straight poles just attach to the roof part and from L shape feet poles to T bars the extra cross bar attaches in the middle....i've just read this back and I've confused myself!!! If you can send me your email address I will copy and paste you a diagram and pictures of ours if you want tinamorrison04 at hotmail.com
