Hi all

Has anyone tried one of these little things from Outwell, if so your thoughts would be apreciated.  Found one at complete outdoors for £39.99 and all orders over £40 are free delivery so just added a tent peg at 25p.  £40.24 delivered!

Thanks

Jay

Hi first post, be gentle,

We've just got back from some of the west of Scotland, the bit above Ullapool stopping at a few sites two nights and one there sort of thing. We took two small tents just in case lol!!, We got the Decathlon 3sec air tent, and we had wind and rain some of the time, the tent blowed about but not to much.

It has got an inner, been the air tent it was a bit cool in the night, the cool air coming in the side vents, might be very nice in the middle of summer, the other model would have been warmer. yes a double flocked mattress fits with a bit of room either side. Not bad getting out and in, would not be much fun in heavy rain with the slope of the door.

You only get 9 pegs, and the 9th is a spare, but i put a two each side where the vents are

Great little tent for mild weather, just to take the will it be there in the morning factor away.

I have the Quechua 3 second tent from Decathlon and it's brilliant. Well built, double skin, literally goes up in 3 seconds! The only thing left is to bang in a couple of guide ropes if you feel its windy enough.

You can comfortably fit a double airbed inside and still have a bit of storage room. For a weekend tent where you turn up at the field in the middle of the night, it's perfect!

However! Their downfall is the size of the bag when they're packed up. Mine is probably a metre across and although its a nice thin bag with rucksack style straps on the back for easy carrying and its very light too, the sheer diameter of the bag may make transport difficult for some, so double check that.

I'll stick a picture in my profile gallery.

Do you think we could get 2 adults and 2 children crammed into a 3 second tent or would it be better to buy 2 2 second ones for those stop overs?

2 adults and 1 very small child may be just about ok for one night but you would definately need 2 tents for 4 of you.
