would redesign the diablo bedrooms so you could stand up in them properly as most of the tents i have looked at this year you can what do other diablo owners think? maybe next year heh
There is alot of discussion about head height in the pods but IMO there is generally no need to spend time upright in them, apart from getting dressed. I have the 900 and with a double airbed, luggage and other accumulated junk that you take with you, the only way you can stand up is if you stand on the airbed itself, this then causes it to go down.
Apart from getting dressed, surely most of the time is spent horizontal!! Or do people enjoy walking around the pods?
I am quite happy sitting or kneeling on the bed to get dressed and I must admit I have given some thought to changing tents to enable me to stand up but cant see the point. If we want to stand up we can do so in the living area, after all, it is big enough.
Maybe people can tell me why they have the need for head room in somewhere where they will be laying down?
This may convince me to change my tent.

I should imagine it's just convenient being able to stand up in the bedrrom whilst getting changed. We've got the Diablo 600 and I'm quite happy to sit on the bed whilst putting my undies and trousers on, and besides I find the sloping bedrooms to be quite cosy!
i just throught it would be a good idea. As my friend put her portable clothes rail inside her bedroom as well while we where there for the week. mine had to stay in the living area with everything else.

Smaller pods are warmer at night though.
Exactly my feelings Val! I Prefer the cosiness of a smaller bedroom - if I need to stand up for dressing then I can use the living area. Still, each to their own I suppose.
Hi. Why not try the Royal Biarritz instead of the Diablo. It's the same design and quality except the extra pole in the bed pod allows my 6' husband to stand up in it.
Cheaper too!

I'm not a complete idiot...some bits are missing.
Whenever we buy a new tent now, we always have 2 requirements at the top of our list. The first is a SIG and the 2nd is standing height in the bedrooms. We find it so much more conveniant. A wardrobe goes in it and we can easily stand up to get dressed.
So, Steve, are you saying that a SIG is now essential for you, and that you wouldn't buy a tent without one? I really like the SIG on our Montana but would consider a tent without one if it had enough other things going for it. MT
